* Usenet Express and UsenetFarm backbones utilize a "caching" / "hybrid" type retention system to save specific posts while removing others from their systems to better utilize their storage. While the algorithms they use are proprietary, generally, the more popular / downloaded the post, the more likely it will be stored to their system.
** Omicron backbone, due to a privacy issue including logging or other activities, use with caution and take appropriate privacy measures.
*** Since the UzoReto backbone (Vipernews and NovaUsenet) was absorbed into the Usenet Express backbone, the Usenet Express backbone has repeatedly attempted to try and get me to say they are still separate despite all data showing this to not be the case at all. I believe part of the reason for their insistence is because they bundle Vipernews into Newsgroupdirect or they hope you will buy directly from Vipernews as well as their own websites which gives them extra money while you purchase the same access 2 (or more) times.
